What Is email Marketing?

Let’s define first what email marketing shouldn’t be: It should not be spam. 

You don’t like spam. No one likes spam. 

Spam, by definition, is the sending of unsolicited emails. This means emails that the person doesn’t want. And, in the US, spam is actually illegal.

When you pound out a marketing message regardless of how the people on your list might feel, you’ll just annoy them and make them want to unsubscribe. When you thoughtfully send out valuable information, you build strong relationships that last for years.
