How Uplift Marketing CEO Matt Hanses Shared the Stage at PALOOZAversary 2025 — Catch Up on What You Missed

We came. We spoke. We beignet-ed.

The occasion? PALOOZAversary 2025, the popular management conference for pediatric private practice owners hosted by our dear friends at Peds-A-Palooza Community and Conferences. The packed event, which ran from October 10-12, 2025, in New Orleans, drew nearly 250 practice owners and staff from around the U.S. to share their successes, their hopes, and their goals—and to procure the tools needed to build a thriving practice.

Matt Hanses, Uplift Marketing’s CEO, and his team, were thrilled to present three marketing seminars at the conference. This wasn’t our first PALOOZAversary presentation in New Orleans and we’re sure it won’t be our last, since we weren’t the only ones to fall in love with the Big Easy.

Loving New Orleans

Because Peds-A-Palooza Community and Conferences is a class act, they reserved world-class accommodations for attendees at the gorgeous Hyatt Regency in downtown New Orleans. We loved how the hotel retained the unique New Orleans vibe:

We also got to see some iconic sights such as Cafe Du Monde, “the original French Market coffee stand” established in 1862:

And we were charmed by New Orleans’ eclectic architecture:

Between the brass bands, diverse cuisine and the buzz of enthusiastic private practice owners catching up with each other from last year or making new friends this year, it was impossible not to be excited.

Attracting the Right Job Candidates

Once the dust settled from everyone’s arrival, the conference began. Since hiring clinical staff remains the biggest challenge faced by pediatric practices, Matt’s first presentation was aptly named “More Than Job Posts: Marketing That Makes The Right People Apply.”

This comprehensive seminar covered how to market a practice to magnetically attract the right job candidates plus key points that result in a viable, qualified staff hire. This included the fundamentals of recruitment marketing and how to effectively market your practice to attract the qualified candidates you are looking for. Attendees loved it.

Demystifying Private Practice PR and Marketing

Uplift knows that most private practice owners want to do bigger things like add new services, open additional locations or become the go-to practice in their area. The problem is they don’t  know how to use marketing and PR to achieve their goals. That’s why Matt’s second presentation, “Marketing & PR For Pediatric Therapy Practices,” was designed to demystify these topics.

In this seminar, Matt covered marketing and PR fundamentals including the fact that marketing is how a practice builds its future—by reaching out and connecting with an ever-larger circle of people, thus creating demand for services and driving growth.

Practice owners and staff alike had some eyed-opening realizations about how they can use marketing and PR to help the practice succeed.

PR and Marketing Seminar Attendee Feedback

“Today my favorite speaker was Matt Hanses. An area that is not my comfort zone and some of the presented strategies and connections between marketing and every other area were insightful and will be high on my list to turn into actionable items.” – Barb Blain, Owner, PediPlay

“Absolutely loved Matt Hanses. Very helpful” – Lena Thoresen, Owner, Children’s Therapy Solutions, Inc.

Achieving Digital Domination for Pediatric Practices

The rubber met the road in Matt’s final workshop, “Digital Domination: How To Make Powerful Videos and Social Media Content” when Matt had attendees whip out their smartphones to shoot and post videos to their social media profiles…and pandemonium ensued.

Matt first covered the nuts and bolts of shooting videos from formulating what to say all the way through to publishing clips online. Then, he actually moved around the room demonstrating technical points—lighting, composition, etc.—from different places in the room using his own camera.

He then had the attendees shoot their own videos right on the spot and post them to their practice social media profiles. Check out some of these great clips, including Matt’s very own video demonstrating how to shoot for social media:

Two New Free Properties Released

To help mark the occasion of PALOOZAversary 2025, we released two new properties at the conference. These were two free, downloadable guides jam-packed with practical, useful information private practices could use to immediately up their marketing game. These were:

Creating Incredible Video Content Guide

We know from experience many practice owners want to produce more video content but don’t know where to begin. That’s why we produced Creating Incredible Video Content, a free guide which provides a clear roadmap to making private practice videos that are warm, professional, and high-converting. This guide is now widely available and can be downloaded for free here.

The Private Practice Guide to Online Reviews

Gathering ample positive reviews and correctly handling negative reviews are topics that stymy many private practices. To help the practice owners and staff master this area, we created The Private Practice Guide to Online Reviews. The guide is a no-fluff playbook that can be used by the front desk, managers, and clinicians. It, too, is now available for free download here.
